YouTube Premium Subscribers to Get Peacock Access for Free in 2027!!

In the last few years, Peacock has quietly become one of the most popular streaming services in the world. Not only is it home to all of NBC’s biggest network TV shows, but it’s also the primary streaming outlet for Taylor Sheridan’s most successful show of all time, Yellowstone. Sheridan’s other series stream on Paramount+, but once he leaves Paramount for NBCUniversal at the end of 2028, all of his new projects will stream on Peacock. The streamer has already released some of the most bingeable shows of the year, including most recently dropping all episodes of Five-Star Weekend, the drama headlined by Jennifer Garner and Gemma Chan. As it continues to get more expensive to have access to all the biggest streaming services, Peacock has once again found a way to lower the price.

Peacock had already struck a deal with Apple TV — the streaming home for Ted Lasso, Severance, and dozens of other popular shows — but now the service is part of yet another big deal. Yesterday afternoon, news broke that Peacock will now be a free add-on to all subscribers of YouTube Premium, starting in early 2027. This means that those who pay the standard $15.99 per month for YouTube Premium will be able to cancel their Peacock subscription next year, as everything on the service will officially be included for no additional cost. This is part of a much larger deal struck between YouTube and NBCUniversal, which also allows for certain popular sporting events to air directly on YouTube and YouTube TV. No word yet on an official date for when this new bundle will go live, other than it’s confirmed for early 2027.

What’s Popular on Peacock Right Now?

The most popular movie on Peacock at the time of writing is Obsession, the 2026 horror sensation that grossed over $450 million against a $750,000 budget. The film is holding an edge at #1 over Pressure, the new WWII movie starring Brendan Fraser and Andrew Scott. Will Smith’s Men in Black movies are also quietly seeing a resurgence on Peacock right now, years after their initial release. As for TV shows, the aforementioned Five-Star Weekend is still sitting comfortably at #1 on the streaming charts. The latest season of Love Island USA is also charting in the top 10, several weeks removed from the season finale.
