‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 6 Sets December Premiere!!

In an era where streaming services like Netflix and HBO Max send shows on years-long hiatuses between seasons, Hulu is doing things a little differently. One of the most popular shows to emerge on the streamer in the last few years is Paradise, the sci-fi thriller starring Sterling K. Brown and created by Dan Fogelman. Hulu has put out two seasons of Paradise in as many years, and now that the third season has already wrapped filming, it’s all but confirmed that it will premiere next year around the same time as the first two seasons. Another popular Hulu show operating on a quick turnaround schedule is Only Murders in the Building — the first season of the show dropped back in 2021, and Hulu has released a new season every single year since the premiere.

This morning, almost exactly one year after the premiere of Only Murders in the Building Season 5, Hulu finally confirmed when fans will be watching Season 6. The streamer officially announced that Only Murders in the Building Season 6 will begin streaming on both Disney Plus and Hulu on December 8, but it will also mark the end of an era for the beloved mystery series. Dubbed Only Murders in London, the sixth season is taking the beloved trio of mystery solvers across the pond, and it will be the first season not set in New York. Following the premiere, new episodes of Only Murders in the Building Season 6 will stream weekly every Tuesday. Steve Martin, Martin Short, Selena Gomez, and Meryl Streep all return to their roles, with other stars like Tina Fey, Olivia Colman, David Tennant, Nicolas Coughlan, Martin Freeman, and more also featuring in guest roles.

What Is ‘Only Murders in the Building’ Season 6 About?

Hulu finally released the official synopsis for Only Murders in the Building Season 6, which reads as follows:

“After successfully bringing the guilty to justice once again, Charles, Oliver and Mabel embark on their hardest case yet when the next victim — Cinda Canning — arrives at their doorstep, summoning them to London to catch her killer. Our beloved trio of true crime-solving podcasters must now navigate their way through the home of the cozy murder mystery, replete with a whole new collection of suspicious and particularly English-eccentric characters. But can they follow in the footsteps of the woman whose podcast started it all for them … without having their story end the same as hers?”

The show was written and created for TV by John Hoffman and Steve Martin, who also executive produce with Martin Short, Selena Gomez, Dan Fogelman, Jess Rosenthal, Ben Smith, Jennifer Crittenden and Gabrielle Allan.
