What a year it’s been for Taylor Sheridan fans, who have had more than enough content to watch on almost a weekly basis from the Yellowstone writer. Sheridan has expanded the Yellowstone universe with new spin-offs like Dutton Ranch and Marshals, and both projects were renewed for new seasons. However, only Dutton Ranch was met with a similar warm reception as the original Yellowstone series — fans were not fond of the CBS network-style storytelling employed in Marshals, as they felt it stripped away what made the show special. Sheridan is also returning to his roots in the next few years with screenplays for F.A.S.T. and Call of Duty, though he has declined to direct either project. He’s working with director Peter Berg for Call of Duty and Ben Richardson for F.A.S.T., both of whom he’s worked with in the past.

Taylor Sheridan’s most popular original series to emerge in the last few years has been Landman, the must-watch oil drama starring Billy Bob Thornton and Ali Larter. The first season of the critically acclaimed series debuted back at the end of 2024, and it returned almost exactly one year later with a gripping second season. Most fans have been looking forward to the third season of Landman later this year, but we’re all going to have to wait a little longer, as it was recently confirmed that Landman Season 3 won’t begin streaming until sometime in 2027. Production on the show was originally scheduled to begin earlier this year, but after being pushed back to September, it would be impossible for the show to return before the end of this year in anything less than an unfinished state.

What’s Going To Happen in ‘Landman’ Season 3?

During the Season 2 finale of Landman, Tommy Norris (played by Billy Bob Thornton) quit his job at M-Tex and agreed to start his own oil company with his family and friends. There will certainly be some fallout to this decision, as Cami Miller (played by Demi Moore) isn’t expected to go anywhere in Season 3, leaving Tommy with some fierce competition as she continues to fill her husband’s shoes. Andy Garcia’s Gallino is also expected to be a force in Season 3, now with more of a grudge against Tommy than ever before.
