R.J. Decker Season 2 trailer is out. The footage shows Scott Speedman returning for another round of strange cases. The second installment of ABC’s crime drama premieres on September 15 and sets the stage for a darker mystery.
The show follows Decker, a former newspaper photographer who becomes a private investigator. The series, inspired by author Carl Hiaasen’s work, combines crime stories with the unusual characters and situations associated with South Florida.
Season 2 picks up after the dramatic Season 1 finale. Emi’s father, Victor, was shot and killed inside his home, which leaves Emi searching for answers. As the investigation begins, Jaina Lee Ortiz, who plays Emi, turns to Decker and asks for help to find the person responsible for Victor’s death.

What Is Happening in the R.J. Decker Season 2 Trailer?
The new trailer shows that Season 2 will continue a similar storyline and portray a mix of serious crime stories and strange humor in the show’s Florida setting.
While Decker investigates Victor’s murder, he also takes on several unusual cases. These include a group of bank robbers who commit their crimes without wearing pants, as well as thieves targeting people on the beach.
The trailer also features a Dancing with the Stars crossover. Professional dancers Jenna Johnson and Val Chmerkovskiy appear, showing off their dance moves on the beach. Additionally, former Bachelor star Joey Graziadei appears in a scripted role. He plays a thief who is caught on camera by Decker.
Scott Speedman and Jaina Lee Ortiz return for the new season alongside Kevin Rankin, Adelaide Clemens, and Bevin Bru.
R.J. Decker Season 2 will premiere on Tuesday, September 15, 2026, at 10 p.m. ET on ABC.
