The actor has been cast alongside Caleb Landry Jones in the latest suspense flick, according to reports from Deadline. The project is set to be directed by Rick Alverson and is based on a script co-written with Micah Jayne.
The three-time Oscar nominee will reportedly lead the movie Summer of Roses, making it his next upcoming onscreen performance after his soon-to-be-released Apple TV show with McConaughey: Brothers. The comedy show will see the real-life friends play fictionalized versions of themselves as they learn they might actually be brothers.
Brothers premieres on Apple TV on Wednesday, September 23, 2026, with the first two episodes. The remaining six episodes are set to arrive weekly, every Wednesday.
