ABC has released the first trailer for Scrubs Season 2. The second season brings Zach Braff and Donald Faison back together for more comedy, friendship, and hospital drama.
The Scrubs revival two‑episode premiere is set for Wednesday, September 30, at 8 p.m. EDT/PDT on ABC. The episodes will stream the following day on Hulu and Hulu on Disney+.
The new trailer shows J.D. (Braff) and Turk (Faison) in very different positions from their early days at Sacred Heart. Now experienced doctors, the longtime friends are helping guide a new group of residents while still finding plenty of time for their usual antics.
Sarah Chalke also returns as Dr. Elliot Reid, with Braff, Faison, and Chalke serving as executive producers. Aseem Batra is back as showrunner alongside series creator Bill Lawrence.

Scrubs Season 2 brings familiar faces into a new chapter at Sacred Heart
Scrubs season 2 also brings a more serious storyline involving John C. McGinley’s Dr. Perry Cox. His worsening kidney problems become a major concern that forces J.D. to take on a larger role in his mentor’s care.
The situation adds an emotional angle to the comedy and gives the longtime characters a chance to explore how their relationships have changed over the years. The revival also continues to develop its younger cast. Ava Bunn joins the series as intern Sam Tosh, one of the new doctors learning how to survive the demanding hospital environment.
As the residents move further into their training, they turn to J.D., Turk, and Elliot for advice on their careers and personal lives.
Alongside the medical storylines, the trailer promises plenty of the humor that made the original series popular. J.D. and Turk remain at the center of the show’s friendship, while relationship problems, therapy sessions, hospital mishaps, and physical comedy all add to the chaos.
