Ahead of its release later this year, Marvel Studios has released new VisionQuest character posters highlighting its leads. The upcoming MCU show will pick up after WandaVision, following the titular android on a journey of self-discovery. The series will also pick up plot threads left by Agatha All Along.
Posted on social media, the first image shows Paul Bettany sitting on a sofa and reading a newspaper. The paper’s title reads, “Vision Today.” Surprisingly, the poster doesn’t highlight Vision’s Android form, instead relegating it to the background in a photo frame.
The new posters offer more clues about what’s ahead for Vision, Ultron & Tommy
The other posters released this week focus on James Spader’s Ultron and Ruaridh Mollica’s Tommy Maximoff. Spader reprises his role over a decade after first playing the villain in Avengers: Age of Ultron. The poster shows Ultron’s human form holding a paintbrush, with his more sinister look shown in a mirror beside him. This reflects the show’s premise where Ultron’s AI has been uploaded into Vision’s mind, where he assumes a human avatar and spends his time painting.
As for Tommy Maximoff, he is shown being submerged under water, referring to his first appearance in Agatha All Along. Furthermore, the imagery references how Billy placed Tommy’s soul into the body of Thomas Shepherd, a teenager who had just drowned.
Details on his character have been kept under wraps, though he was shown remembering the fact that he is Vision’s son in the show’s trailer. It remains to be seen how Vision and Tommy will reunite in the MCU, and whether they’ll also find Billy. The show won’t pick up directly after WandaVision, instead sticking closer to the present day in the MCU.
The new series also stars Todd Stashwick, T’Nia Miller, Orla Brady, Emily Hampshire, and James D’Arcy. It was created by Terry Matalas, who also directed several episodes. Matalas also serves as an executive producer, joined by Kevin Feige, Louis D’Esposito, Brad Winderbaum, Mary Livanos, Jac Schaeffer, and Christopher J. Byrne.
VisionQuest releases on Disney+ on October 14, 2026. The first two episodes will screen at the 2026 BFI London Film Festival on October 12.
