‘Daredevil: Born Again’ Fans Officially Begin Campaign to Save Cancelled Disney+ Series!!

Daredevil fans have already proven that canceling Matt Murdock’s series does not necessarily mean they are finished fighting for it, and as is often the case, history is keen on repeating itself. Eight years after Netflix pulled the plug on the original series, Marvel Studios has now decided that Daredevil: Born Again will conclude with its upcoming third season. Somehow, the Devil of Hell’s Kitchen has found himself in an extremely familiar situation.

The timing makes the news particularly difficult to accept, as Marvel Television previously discussed turning Born Again into an annual Disney+ series. Season 3 has already been filmed and is expected to premiere in March 2027, but Marvel has also parted ways with showrunner Dario Scardapane during post-production. The people who helped bring Daredevil back once are understandably not ready to watch it disappear again.

Team #SavedDaredevil, the fan campaign that spent years demanding another chapter for Charlie Cox’s hero, responded to the cancellation with a statement looking back on everything fans accomplished. The group recalled the shock that followed Netflix’s decision in 2018, when the series ended shortly after Matt, Karen Page, and Foggy Nelson reunited, leaving numerous stories unfinished. It also celebrated the campaign’s role in keeping those characters visible until Daredevil was finally “Born Again” in March 2025.

‘Daredevil’ Fans Have Already Won This Fight Once

Although Team SavedDaredevil acknowledged that March 2027 will mark another ending for Cox’s version of the character, its message did not sound like a fandom preparing to disappear. “We will always have a reason to revel in the joy this show has brought us,” the statement reads before signing off with “Onward and upward.” The post quickly received thousands of likes and hundreds of reposts, proving that Daredevil still has an audience prepared to make plenty of noise about his future.

That audience has accomplished the seemingly impossible before, even if Marvel Studios has never credited one campaign alone with reviving the series. Cox returned to Marvel in Spider-Man: No Way Home before receiving his own Disney+ sequel, while Deborah Ann Woll, Elden Henson, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jon Bernthal, Wilson Bethel, Krysten Ritter, and Mike Colter eventually followed him back into the wider Marvel Cinematic Universe. Season 3 may be the end of Daredevil: Born Again, but fans clearly intend to remind Marvel that canceling this particular hero has never stopped him from getting back up.
