Marvel Studios’ VisionQuest just got a fresh new look. The Disney+ series offers fans a glimpse at what’s next for the android following the events of WandaVision.
The short trailer features Paul Bettany’s White Vision as he continues searching for answers about his identity, while several mysterious figures and locations appear throughout.
The trailer reveals the live-action debut of Jim Hammond, Marvel Comics’ original Human Torch, rather than Johnny Storm from the Fantastic Four. According to Marvel scooper DanielRPK and trailer breakdowns, a fiery figure seen inside an office is believed to be Hammond, the android character Carl Burgos created in 1939.
Unlike Johnny Storm, Hammond is a synthetic being whose appearance helped establish the Human Torch concept decades before the Fantastic Four existed. The character also connects to a long-running MCU Easter egg. Captain America: The First Avenger featured Phineas Horton’s android inside a glass display at the 1943 Stark World Exposition.
In Marvel Comics, Hammond’s synthetic body eventually became closely connected to the creation of Vision, making his potential appearance relevant to the Disney+ series.
What else do we see in the new VisionQuest trailer?
The 34-second trailer follows White Vision after he left Westview at the end of WandaVision. He’s shown dealing with fragmented memories and attempting to understand what remains of his former identity.
An ominous voice asks, “What is happening to your world, Vision?” as the footage moves through glitching digital environments and mysterious laboratory settings. Vision also appears to interact with artificial intelligence systems connected to his programming.
The trailer also brings back James Spader as Ultron’s voice. His presence points toward a renewed connection between Vision and the artificial intelligence that created him, setting up a conflict between the two characters.
Other shots show government personnel, unidentified technology, and a red-eyed mechanical threat inside Vision’s surroundings. The eight-episode series is positioned as the final installment of Marvel Television’s WandaVision storyline following WandaVision and Agatha All Along.
VisionQuest is scheduled to premiere on Disney+ on October 14, 2026.
