Krysten Ritter isn’t ready to say goodbye to Marvel yet. The Daredevil: Born Again star has shared an encouraging update about her future as Jessica Jones, leaving the door open for another run.
Speaking to Screen Rant at New York Comic Con on October 9, 2026, Ritter addressed whether Daredevil: Born Again Season 3 would mark her final appearance as Jessica. “I mean, this is Marvel, and Jessica keeps coming back. I don’t know what the future holds, but I’m hopeful, and we’ll see.”
The 44-year-old’s comments give hope to fans who want to see more of the private investigator in the MCU. However, Marvel has not confirmed another appearance beyond her announced role in the series.
Jessica Jones’ history in the Marvel Universe
Krysten Ritter first played Jessica Jones in Jessica Jones, which premiered in November 2015. The show followed a former superhero who became a private investigator in New York City. Her cases often involved people with extraordinary abilities, while her personal struggles added depth.
The action series ran for three seasons and ended in 2019. Jessica also joined Daredevil, Luke Cage, and Iron Fist in The Defenders, bringing several of Marvel’s street-level heroes together. Her connections to these characters established her place in the wider Marvel Television Universe.
Ritter eventually returned to the role in Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, which premiered on Disney+ on March 24, 2026. Jessica joined Matt Murdock as he fought Mayor Wilson Fisk and challenged his growing control over New York City.
The character’s return also opened the door to future team-ups in Marvel’s street-level stories. Still, Krysten Ritter’s latest comments express hope rather than confirm a new project. Fans will have to wait for an official announcement to learn whether Jessica Jones will appear again after Season 3.
