James Bond has spent more than 60 years traveling the world, saving it from increasingly ridiculous villains and making an awful lot of enemies along the way. But before the Aston Martins, expensive suits and shaken martinis, Britain’s most famous secret agent was just another schoolboy trying to survive his education. Denis Villeneuve is now taking on the world’s most debonair assassin, and it looks like we know where the next iteration of Bond is starting out.
We’ve just been given our first look at Isaac Rouse as the newest individual to take on the role of James Bond, being unveiled in spectacular fashion at Eton College, where Bond went through his higher education. Big Finish dropped the images ahead of the launch of Young Bond: SilverFin, the upcoming full-cast audio adaptation of Charlie Higson‘s novel, which is due for release on October 29.
Higson published SilverFin in 2005 as the first outing in his Young Bond series. Set in the 1930s, it follows Bond at school at the prestigious Eton College, before sending him north to Scotland, where he gets caught up in the mystery surrounding the sinister Lord Hellebore and the experiments taking place at his remote estate. It went on to launch a series following Bond’s adventures long before he was recruited, and well before he was introduced to his favorite kind of martinis, cars, or women.
Who Stars in ‘Young Bond: SilverFin’?
An ETON YES! as YOUNG BOND actor Isaac Rouse hits 007’s school for a sharply attired, 1930s-minded SILVERFIN photoshoot! The brand new 16-part audio drama of SILVERFIN premieres from October 29.

The new adaptation features Rouse as Bond alongside Charlotte McBurney as Wilder Lawless, Tim McInnerny (Game of Thrones) as Uncle Max, Miranda Raison (Spooks) as Aunt Charmian, William Hope (Aliens) as Lord Randolph Hellebore, and Paterson Joseph (Wonka) as Dr. Perseus Friend. There are also some interesting connections to Bond’s history. Lucy Fleming, niece of Bond creator Ian Fleming, voices Madame Ouspenskaya, while Tim Bentinck, who previously voiced 007 in video games during the 1990s, plays Sergeant White.
The latest Bond entry arrives just as the franchise is making moves to get back onto the big screen, and Villeneuve is attached to direct the next theatrical installment, although the identity of the actor replacing Daniel Craig has yet to be officially announced. Rouse‘s version of the character exists separately from that upcoming movie, exploring Bond‘s childhood rather than his career as a British secret agent.
Young Bond: SilverFin will be released on October 29, 2026, through Big Finish. See Rouse as Bond in new images above and a teaser video below.
