What happens in the Secret Service trailer?
The trailer introduces Gemma Arterton as Kate Henderson, a senior MI6 officer overseeing a covert operation in Istanbul. During a conversation with colleagues back at MI6 headquarters, she is warned about the dangers of targeting the head of Russian intelligence. Confident in the mission, Kate insists that the intelligence they could obtain outweighs the risks.
Things escalate when Kate overhears discussions suggesting that a Russian asset has infiltrated British politics. The threat becomes even more alarming as concerns emerge that a senior politician seeking national leadership may have been compromised, potentially placing a Russian operative in Downing Street. As suspicion spreads, Kate and her team are thrown into a race against time to identify the mole before catastrophic consequences unfold.
The series is directed by James Marsh and Farren Blackburn, with Jemma Kennedy and Tom Bradby adapting the screenplay from Bradby’s bestselling 2019 novel of the same name.
Alongside Arterton, the cast includes Rafe Spall, Alex Kingston, Galaxie Clear, Khalid Abdalla, Aoife Hinds, Amaka Okafor, Mark Stanley, and Roger Allam.
Secret Service is scheduled to premiere on MGM+ in the United States, Canada, Latin America, and Italy on November 22, 2026.
