Aditya Roy Kapur and Tara Sutaria are set to share screen space for the first time in filmmaker Milap Zaveri‘s upcoming film, Parwana. Described as an intense musical love story, the project marks a fresh on-screen pairing and promises a romance-driven narrative with music at its heart.

The film also reunites Tara Sutaria with Milap Zaveri after their previous collaboration on Marjaavaan (2019), while marking the first time she has been paired opposite Aditya Roy Kapur.

Milap Zaveri dedicates Parwana to Sanjay Gupta

The project carries emotional significance for Zaveri, who has dedicated the film to late filmmaker Sanjay Gupta, a long-time mentor and collaborator.

Recalling one of their final conversations, Zaveri revealed that he had shared the title Parwana with Gupta shortly before his passing. The title immediately resonated with Gupta, who reminded him that an earlier film with the same name had been produced by his father.

Reflecting on that moment, Zaveri said the joy and pride they shared was unforgettable and confirmed that Parwana would be dedicated to his “Guruji.”

A long creative association

Sanjay Gupta played a pivotal role in Milap Zaveri‘s evolution as a writer and filmmaker. Their professional association began when Zaveri worked as a dialogue writer on Kaante and continued through films such as Musafir, Shootout at Lokhandwala, and Shootout at Wadala.

With Parwana, Zaveri not only launches a new romantic pairing in Aditya Roy Kapur and Tara Sutaria, but also pays tribute to one of the most influential figures in his career.
