
What a year it has been for Bollywood! Glancing at the number of successful films this year, their is no two doubts about how for the first time in Hindi cinema content driven films took reign for the first time in Bollywood history. It seems all bad things this year belonged to Salman Khan. After the cringe worthy franchise ending, Race 3, and a brief appearance in YPD 3, he produced and launched his brother-in-law Aayush Sharma in a love story that was forgotten right after the first weekend. However the biggest shock came in the form of Thugs of Hindostan, a film that brings together Amitabh Bachchan and Aamir Khan, with YRF spearheading the production and a magnanimous budget of 300 crores. A film that so enamored by the scale and the stars at disposal, it turned its blind eye to something called a story. And looking at the box office numbers currently, Shah Rukh Khan‘s Zero is just also turning out to be quite a disappointment.
