Cat Run 2 (2014) Review!!

Synopsis – Gritty and action-packed, Cat Run 2 stars the seductive Winter Ave Zoli (Sons of Anarchy), as a high-end call girl with a secret military connection. Better than ever, Scott Mechlowicz and Alphonso McAuley return as Anthony and Julian, the unlikely team of bumbling, up-and-coming private detectives. After a “sex party” turned massacre leaves Julian’s cousin in trouble, the wannabe detective team takes on the case and discovers a military secret they wish they hadn’t. This sexy, thrilling, epic will leave you at the edge of your seat!

My Take – Cat Run (2011) was very under rated & very entertaining action comedy spy thriller setting up the plot for our two upcoming detectives played by Scott Mechlowicz & Alphonso McAuley, the film would remind you of the 80s – 90s buddy movies done right!

Unfortunately the sequel seems to have been made on a smaller budget, writing could of been better and quite honestly they could of been more inventive, the characters were interesting but lost in translation. Its entertaining enough to keep you on the hook but lacks the polished edge of the original. The actors Scott Mechlowicz (charming), Alphonso McAuley (hilarious) & Ave Zoli (mind blowing hot) have done their job well.

On a whole Cat Run 2 is a disappointing yet mildly entertaining sequel, if you are into films like the Rush Hour series, you may like this one, but honestly check out the predecessor, as that is an example of harmless awesomeness fun!
