Synopsis – A snowstorm forces two people who made an online connection to unwillingly extend their one-night stand.
My Take – This movie was not only awesomely funny, but also had a good, if somewhat predictable storyline, however, the steady stream of humor allowed it to soar beyond its tried and tested storyline. I have never seen a movie where even the sex scenes made me laugh, this one did.
Opening the movie with the scenes of the main conflict build up, circling back to character and background build up then continuing the main conflict surprise, the movie makes quite a nice effort in back and forth story flow to emphasize the significance of the main theme. But since the story confines the main characters to a closed environment, it doesn’t leave any room for any unpredictable story development. The movie did not only have great writing, but the performances of Miles Teller and Annaleigh Tipton are the highlights of this movie! The only downer for me would be the romance being more dominant over the comedy in certain unnecessary parts.
I would recommend this to anyone who has seen Miles Tellers previous work, anyone that is looking for a romantic comedy that men can enjoy as well, and anyone just looking to laugh, Two Night Stand is definitely worth a one time watch!
