In the latest TV spots for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, the night is dark and full of terrors (i.e. magical creatures). The titular beasties inside Newt Scamander’s enchanted briefcase are taking the spotlight as the marketing campaign for the film releases its last pieces of new footage ahead of showtime in a couple weeks. While brief, the new videos (via ComicBook.com’s YouTube channel) offer a brief rundown of some of the creatures we’ll meet in the Harry Potter prequel film.

For instance, there’s a Thunderbird that gets a bit flighty when it senses danger, there’s the ferocious and leopard-like Nundu, the serpentine Occamy, the barreling Erumpent, the Swooping Evil, Newt’s twig-like little friend called a Bowtruckle, the wide-eyed Demiguise, the Graphorn, and the Niffler. Then there’s that more mysterious creature that looks like a black mist spiraling through New York City, causing all manner of destruction in its path. Is it the Lethifold, the Dementer’s brother from another mother? Watch the videos below.

Eddie Redmayne stars as Newt, a magizoologist who travels to the Big Apple in the 1920s on his mission to study all manner of magical creature. There, he causes quite the disruption when a few of his beasts escape from his suitcase, but there’s a bigger, more mysterious conflict at play. Other trailers have hinted at the dark wizard Grindelwald and his attacks in Europe, while Colin Farrell’s Auror character, Percival Graves, has something hidden up his sleeve. Fantastic Beasts is directed by David Yates based on an original screenplay by J.K. Rowling. The cast is rounded out by Katherine WatersonAlison SudolDan FoglerEzra MillerRon PerlmanJon Voight, Zoe Kravitz, and Carmen Ejogo. The film will hit theaters on November 18th.

Here’s the official synopsis for Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them:

“Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them” is an all-new adventure returning us to the wizarding world created by J.K. Rowling. Academy Award winner Eddie Redmayne stars in the central role of wizarding world magizoologist Newt Scamander, under the direction of David Yates, who helmed the last four “Harry Potter” blockbusters. The film opens in 1926 as Newt Scamander has just completed a global excursion to find and document an extraordinary array of magical creatures. Arriving in New York for a brief stopover, he might have come and gone without incident…were it not for a No-Maj (American for Muggle) named Jacob, a misplaced magical case, and the escape of some of Newt’s fantastic beasts, which could spell trouble for both the wizarding and No-Maj worlds.
