Anurag Basu Apologizes For Jagga Jasoos Failure!!

Filmmaker Anurag Basu’s Jagga Jasoos starring Ranbir Kapoor and Katrina Kaif in the lead performed averagely at the box-office. The film garnered mixed reviews from the audience as well as the critics. There were some who loved the film dearly while some criticized it. Since, it was a big budget film, the losses that the makers faced were high. Jagga Jasoos faced several delays and roadblocks while in the making for which the filmmaker is being held responsible for!

Recently Ranbir’s father Rishi Kapoor accused Basu of the film’s poor performance as it took more than three years to get completed. In a statement, Rishi ji said, “You may be the biggest director in the world, but nobody would like to work with you because you are irresponsible. There is somebody else’s money involved in this. I trusted you, and this is what you give us? Ranbir hasn’t held back on spending money on it. You even threw Govinda out of the film. If you don’t want Govinda to work in your film, why did you ask him in the first place?” It created a big controversy around the issue.

Anurag Basu took to Twitter and wrote: “Sorry i ws out of radar Thank U so much for ur love and appreciation for #JaggaJassos its like oxygen for Me Right now.Tight Hugs! & for those who disliked it, hugs for them too, cuz ur rejection paves the way for my next and I promise i’ll try not to disappoint you.”

Jagga Jasoos is a comedy-drama that revolves around a teenage detective who is in search of his missing father. It is a musical that consists of 29 songs composed by Pritam. The film also stars Saurabh Shukla, Sayani Gupta and Saswata Chatterji in key roles.
