Scoot McNairy Joins Quentin Tarantino’s Once Upon a Time in Hollywood!!!

With Quentin Tarantino gearing up to begin production, Deadline is reporting that Scoot McNairy (Halt and Catch Fire, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice) has become the latest addition to the cast of the hotly-anticipated Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. McNairy is set to portray a cowboy called Business Bob Gilbert, a character in the Western TV show which starred Leonardo DiCaprio’s Rick Dalton.

Tarantino has assembled a stellar cast for his new film, with McNairy and DiCaprio featuring alongside Brad Pitt (Inglourious Basterds), Margot Robbie (I, Tonya), Burt Reynolds (Boogie Nights), Timothy Olyphant (Santa Clarita Diet), Al Pacino (The Godfather), Damien Lewis (Billions), Dakota Fanning (Ocean’s 8), Luke Perry (Riverdale), Emile Hirsch (The Autopsy of Jane Doe), James Marsden (Westworld), Clifton Collins Jr. (Westworld), Julia Butters (American Housewife), Keith Jefferson (The Hateful Eight) and Nicholas Hammond (The Sound of Music).

McNairy is currently busy filming the third season of HBO’s True Detective, and has several projects on his slate including Destroyer with Nicole Kidman, The Parts You Lose with Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and The Sound of Philadelphia with Matthias Schoenaerts and Garrett Hedlund.

A story that takes place in Los Angeles in 1969, at the height of hippy Hollywood. The two lead characters are Rick Dalton (Leonardo DiCaprio), former star of a western TV series, and his longtime stunt double Cliff Booth (Brad Pitt). Both are struggling to make it in a Hollywood they don’t recognize anymore. But Rick has a very famous next-door neighbour… Sharon Tate.
