‘Monster Hunter’: T.I. and Ron Perlman Join Milla Jovovich in the Upcoming Adaption!!!

THR is reporting that T.I. (Ant-Man and the Wasp) and Ron Perlman (Sons of Anarchy) have joined the cast of Monster Hunter, the latest Capcom video game adaptation from Resident Evil writer-director Paul W.S. Anderson and star Milla Jovovich.

While plot details are being kept under wraps, the movie will retain the premise of the video game and follows a group of characters who track and kill monsters. Jovovich is playing a character called Artemis, with T.I. as the sniper Link and Perlman as Admiral, the leader of the team.

The Monster Hunter franchise launched on the PlayStation 2 back in 2004 and the series has been a huge hit for Capcom, shifting over 50 million units worldwide. The recent release Monster Hunter: World quickly became Capcom’s bestselling game of all time with over 10 million sales.

Sony’s Screen Gems is producing the $60 million movie adaptation, which is set to begin shooting this October in South Africa.
