‘David Crosby: Remember My Name’ Trailer Reveals One of the Year’s Best Documentaries!! Check It Out!!

Sony Pictures Classics has released the first trailer for David Crosby: Remember My Name, which is one of the best documentaries of the year. The film premiered at the Sundance Film Festival in January to rave reviews, and the brutal honesty with which musician David Crosby reflects on his life is on full display in this trailer. Directed by A.J. Eaton and produced by Cameron Crowe, the film finds Crosby looking back on his life and career with tremendous candor, admitting the major mistakes he made, talking about his failed relationships, and discussing in great detail how some of history’s greatest music moments were created.

It’s a rare thing for a human being to be actually, brutally, totally honest about his or her life, and even more rare for that person to be as famous as Crosby. But reflecting on his mortality, Crosby appears to see this documentary as a chance to really look inward and assess the life he’s lived. It’s made all the better by the fact that Crowe is the one asking questions, and he probes without it coming off as intrusive. This remains not only one of 2019’s best docs, but one of the best films I’ve seen all year.

Check out the David Crosby: Remember My Name trailer below. The film opens in limited release on July 19th.
