‘Gadar 2’: New Motion Poster Teases the Return of Tara Singh and Sakina!! Check It Out!!

Fans of Gadar: Ek Prem Katha are eager to see their favourite characters on the big screen once again in the second installment of this love story. Along with Sunny Deol playing Tara Singh and Ameesha Patel playing Sakina, Gadar 2 will also feature Utkarsh Sharma as their son Charanjeet. Interestingly, the actor played the same role as a child actor in the 2001 romantic-action entertainer. And now, on Valentine’s Day, the makers of the film, Zee Studios, decided to celebrate the love of Tara Singh and Sakina by sharing a special motion poster of Gadar 2, which is slated to release this year.

Gadar: Ek Prem Katha traced the story of two opposite people, Tara Singh and Sakina who meet each other before Partition and how their life transitions after the partition. Gadar 2 will take the story forward decades later, as the couple will feature along with their grown-up son. The recently released motion poster of the film features Tara and Sakina in their quintessential ethnic avatars that is reminiscent of its prequel as the song, ‘Udja Kale Kawan’ plays in the background.

Readers would recall that Gadar: Ek Prem Katha had become one of the biggest hits of the year with the film touching chord among the masses for not just its love story but also Sunny Deol’s patriotism. The film also features the cult scene where the action star is seen removing a hand pump from the ground. As per reports, Gadar 2 too will retain this action avatar of Tara Singh.

Directed by Anil Sharma, Gadar 2 is expected to release on August 11, right before India’s Independence Day on August 15. The film is expected to clash with the Ranbir Kapoor, Rashmika Mandanna, Anil Kapoor starrer Animal.
