‘1923’ Season 2 Teaser Tease the Return of the ‘Yellowstone’ Spin-Off!! Check It Out!!

At the height of Yellowstone fever, Paramount+ is striking while the branding iron is hot and has just released not only one, but two teasers to preview the release of the second and final season of their original series 1923, which serves as a prequel to the mainline Yellowstone saga from Taylor Sheridan. As we’ve come to expect, both teasers — which are only 15 seconds long each — feature shots of the Dutton family facing new threats and under siege, along with the gorgeous, sprawling Montana landscape. The series will return to Paramount+ on Sunday, February 23.

The series stars Harrison Ford, Helen Mirren, Brandon Sklenar, Julia Schlaepfer, Jerome Flynn, Darren Mann, Brian Geraghty, Aminah Nieves, Michelle Randolph, Sebastian Roché, Timothy Dalton and Jennifer Carpenter. The official logline of the upcoming series can be found below:

In the second season of 1923, a cruel winter brings new challenges and unfinished business to Jacob (Ford) and Cara (Mirren) back at Dutton ranch. With harsh conditions and adversaries threatening to end the Dutton legacy, Spencer (Sklenar) embarks on an arduous journey home, racing against time to save his family in Montana. Meanwhile, Alexandra (Schlaepfer) sets off on her own harrowing trans-Atlantic journey to find Spencer and reclaim their love.

What is ‘1923’ About?

The show explores key historical events like Prohibition and the Great Depression through the viewpoint of the Dutton family. Ford admitted that the mere idea of the story was enough for him to sign up, without even seeing a script, and that Mirren felt exactly the same as he did.

“Both Helen and I signed up at whatever time without a script and Taylor Sheridan was producing that script while I was making [Shrinking]. We’re both thrilled with the outcome and the characters that were created and the opportunities that those characters presented.”

Filming for the series took place in multiple locations across the United States, including Texas earlier this year, and of course across Montana, where the entire series has been set since its inception back in 2017.

1923 will return for its second and final season on Sunday, February 23. The first season can be viewed now in its entirety on Paramount+. The next episode of Yellowstone’s final season will air at 8 PM on Sunday evening on Paramount Network, and on Monday night at 10 PM on CBS.
