Tom Hardy led New Guy Ritchie Series Adds Paddy Considine, More to Series!!

As cameras continue rolling in London, Guy Ritchie is reinforcing his unnamed Paramount+ with Showtime global crime series with much more talent. After confirming a star-studded main trio of Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, and Helen Mirren at the end of last month, six new names have been announced as series regulars, with House of the Dragon‘s Paddy Considine leading the charge. Joining him are Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, and Jasmine Jobson. Their addition mostly fleshes out the Harrigan family, which Hardy‘s character Harry Da Souza has sworn to protect.

Considine is set to play Kevin, the son of Harrigan family patriarch Conrad (Brosnan), with Pulver playing his wife Bella, Boon embodying his son Eddie, and Dhillon portraying his half-sister. Ritchie‘s new series puts the London-based Harrigans and their operations at the center of a global power struggle with another similarly wealthy family, meaning those four will have a big part to play as the crime drama heats up. The other two new additions, Froggatt and Jobson, are instead related to Harry. The Downton Abbey star is set as Harry’s wife, Jan Da Souza, while Jobson plays Zosia, one of Harry’s closest associates who works underneath the fixer.

This new project brings Ritchie back into the space of one-hour television, coming hot off the success of The Gentlemen at Netflix, which earned rave reviews for building on the already-successful movie of the same name. Coincidentally, the Paramount+ show was also initially billed as a spinoff. Originally going under the working title of The Associate, it was planned to be a continuation of sorts for the Showtime series Ray Donovan, but has since been reworked into a standalone series. In addition to directing, Ritchie is on board as an executive producer alongside Keith Cox, Nina L. Diaz, David C. Glasser, Jez Butterworth, Ronan Bennett, Kris Thykier, Ivan Atkinson, Tom Hardy, Dean Baker, Ron Burkle, David Hutkin, and Bob Yari.

Where Else Have We Seen Guy Ritchie’s New Series Regulars

Beyond his role as Viserys Targaryen, Considine brings a loaded resume with two BAFTA wins to the table, most notably for his role in the 2012 film Tyrannosaur. His most recent television appearance outside of House of the Dragon came in 2020 with the HBO series The Outsider and The Third Day. Pulver, meanwhile, is coming fresh off of her role as Persephone in Netflix‘s animated series Blood of Zeus while Boon was last seen in 2023’s Widow Clicquot and Hulu‘s 2022 series Pistol as Sex Pistols frontman John “Johnny Rotten” Lydon and Dhillon comes off of CSI: Vegas. The three-time Emmy-nominated Froggatt is currently preparing to return to her old role with Downton Abbey 3, which is due out next year, while Jobson rounds out the group ahead of an upcoming role in the modern Hamlet adaptation led by Riz Ahmed and Morfydd Clark.

Ritchie‘s Paramount+ with Showtime project is due out in 2025. Stay tuned here at Collider for more updates.
