‘Anora’ Wins Best Picture at Oscars 2025!! Check Out the Full List of Winners!!

The biggest night in Hollywood delivered on its promised surprises as Anora proved itself a true awards season darling. The lead-up to the 97th Academy Awards was far less conclusive than in years past where a clear frontrunner — like Oppenheimer last year — emerged ahead of the ceremony. This year saw a trio of films — Anora, The Brutalist, and Emilia Pérez — fight for that frontrunner spot from critics and industry peers, and all three of them went home with Oscars.

Early on in the Oscars race, Demi Moore positioned herself as a frontrunner for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her performance in The Substance, but Mikey Madison ultimately won out, helping to lead Anora to an impressive five-win evening. The film’s writer-director-editor, Sean Baker, went home with Oscars for Directing, Original Screenplay, and Best Picture, joining the ranks of a record previously held by Bong Joon Ho. While The Brutalist failed to secure a predicted Best Picture win, the film did walk away with Original Score, Cinematography, and Adrien Brody went home with his second win for Best Actor in a Leading Role. Despite a strong showing at the SAG Awards, BAFTAs, and critics groups around the world, Edward Berger‘s papal thriller Conclave picked up a singular Academy Award. Though, perhaps the divine mandate of Pope Crave helped to ensure the film’s scribe, Peter Straughan, won for Best Adapted Screenplay.

With Conan O’Brien hosting the 97th Academy Awards, there were plenty of hilarious moments in between the surprising wins that kept viewers on their toes. You can keep scrolling to see the full list of Oscar winners below.
