‘Angry Birds 3’: Emma Myers, Keke Palmer, More Join Voice Cast!!

A third Angry Birds movie is coming to theaters. Paramount Pictures has announced that the franchise based on the popular mobile game will return to the big screen on January 29, 2027, more than seven years after the launch of the previous installment. The announcement comes right as the studio continues to expand their franchise catalog with sequels to The Smurfs, Paw Patrol and Avatar: The Last Airbender also in the works. Viewers will finally be able to find out what will happen to Red (Jason Sudeikis) next, with Angry Birds 3 allowing Paramount to work alongside Rovio Entertainment.

Both The Angry Birds Movie and The Angry Birds Movie 2 were released by Sony Pictures. The pandemic derailed any plans the company might have come up with in order to expand the franchise. But a few years after the sequel premiered on the big screen, Paramount will allow Red’s story to continue. Some of the cast members who have been heard since the first Angry Birds movie will come back for the third installment. Josh Gad, Rachel Bloom and Danny McBride will reprise their respective roles as Chuck, Silver and Bomb in the upcoming adventure that will remind audiences why the Angry Birds game became so popular more than a decade ago.

Alongside the returning cast members, new additions to the franchise will attempt to make The Angry Birds Movie 3 an unforgettable ride for the youngest members of the audience. Emma Myers, Keke Palmer and Tim Robinson have been cast in the sequel. Myers recently made a statement in a different video game adaptation. The young actress portrayed Natalie in A Minecraft Movie, the Warner Bros. blockbuster that took the global box office by storm over the course of this past weekend. Emma Myers can’t get enough of video game adaptations that have proven to be box office gold. The first Angry Birds movie earned more than $350 million at the global box office against a very moderate budget.

The ‘Angry Birds’ Cast Continues to Expand

Walker Scobell, Sam Richardson and Anna Cathcart have also joined the voice cast of The Angry Birds Movie 3. Audiences will recognize Scobell from his recent role as the protagonist of Percy Jackson and the Olympians. The Disney+ television series continues to bring Rick Riordan‘s books to life, with the second season of the adaptation aiming to hit the streaming platform later this year. Sam Richardson has been heard in animated productions such as Velma and Ruby Gillman, Teenage Kraken. After showing a constant passion for animated films and television series, the actor will be given the chance to steal the spotlight in The Angry Birds Movie 3.

The Angry Birds Movie 3 premieres in theaters on January 29, 2027.
