Zoë Kravitz is undoubtedly one of the most prolific actors of this generation. From starring in one huge film franchise to another, she recently proved that her talent can extend beyond acting with the release of her acclaimed directorial debut, Blink Twice, just last year. Now, Kravitz may be stepping behind the camera once again after the successful theatrical debut of the psychological thriller. According to Deadline, the actress-turned-filmmaker is in talks to direct Sony Pictures‘ How To Save a Marriage. It is reportedly still in early stages of development.
While plot details about How To Save a Marriage remain under wraps, sources close to Deadline say that the film exudes “edgy undertones” akin to Blink Twice. The film’s dark nature reportedly pushed the executives behind the project to choose Kravitz as its director. Kravitz‘s critically acclaimed directorial debut follows cocktail waitress Frida (Naomi Ackie), who must discover the truth behind the luxurious vacation on a private island to which she was invited. It also stars Channing Tatum, Adria Arjona, Christian Slater, Alia Shawkat, and more.
Zoë Kravitz & Robert Pattinson May Be Having a ‘Batman’ Reunion as ‘How To Save a Marriage’ Comes to Fruition
Should Kravitz decide to direct How To Save a Marriage, it will be an unofficial The Batman reunion between Kravitz and Robert Pattinson. Pattinson, who played the titular Caped Crusader in the 2022 Matt Reeves-directed The Batman, is set to produce the project alongside Brighton McCloskey through their Icki Eneo Arlo banner and Entertainment 360‘s Geoff Shaevitz and Evan Silverberg. The script was written by Ross Evans. The cast has yet to be announced, and there is still no news on whether Pattinson and Kravitz will be sharing the screen again, considering the project is still in early development.
After her performance as Angel Salvadore in X-Men: First Class received favorable feedback from fans, Kravitz went on to secure major roles, including in Mad Max: Fury Road, the three Divergent movies, Fantastic Beasts: The Crimes of Grindelwald, and The Batman. She also starred in other projects like Kimi, Rough Night, Dope, The Road Within, and the hit dark comedy-drama Big Little Lies, among others. She can next be seen starring opposite Austin Butler in the upcoming crime thriller Caught Stealing, directed by Darren Aronofsky.
