‘The Last Of Us’ Season 2 Episode 3 Preview Has Ellie Seeking Revenge!! Check It Out!!

Following the emotional and tense second episode, The Last of Us will show the aftermath of those events this Sunday. The trailer for episode 3 follows Ellie (Bella Ramsey) as she and the rest of the Jackson Hole survivors pick up the pieces after what just happened and come to terms with who they just lost.

The promo has both Ellie and Tommy (Gabriel Luna) grieving due to Joel’s death. This terrible loss becomes the catalyst for Ellie’s plans to seek revenge, as she gets information from Dina (Isabela Merced) about those who killed her father figure and the closest thing she has to a family. It also introduces another militant organization filled with survivors – The Washington Liberation Front (aka: W.L.F.).

“Through the Valley” is the second episode of The Last of Us Season 2. The current installment seems to be a bit mixed, with an audience score of 54% on Rotten Tomatoes. But despite the low audience score, the latest episode received a high 9.5/10 stars on IMDB. Many commented on how HBO‘s adaptation of Joel’s death was “cinema” and made those who played the game back in 2020 emotional all over again.

What Does Episode 2 Mean For Pedro Pascal In ‘The Last of Us’?

Episode 2 featured the brutal death of Joel Miller, featuring the talents of Pedro Pascal and Kaitlyn Dever as Abby. From there, Ellie embarks on her own journey of revenge as she leaves Jackson and attempts to find Joel’s killer. But just because Joel is no longer in the main narrative doesn’t mean the actor is gone from the show.

According to the show’s previous promo, he still has some scenes left, most likely presented as flashbacks in later episodes. Additionally, according to the actor’s IMDB page, he will appear throughout the rest of the season, but that’s subject to change as more episodes come out.

However, The Last of Us was confirmed to have a third installment as showrunner Craig Mazin stated that covering The Last of Us Part II may take more than one or two seasons. As for whether we’re going to see Joel in the next installment, that has yet to be revealed, as Season 3 has yet to be written.

The Last of Us Season 2 airs every Sunday at 9 PM on HBO and is available to stream on Max. You can watch the episode 3 trailer below.
