‘Paradise’ Season 2 Set Video Sees Sterling K. Brown, Shailene Woodley Interact!! Check It Out!!

We’re now more than a month removed from the Paradise Season 1 finale, but the hit thriller series from Dan Fogelman just took a major step forward for Season 2. The official Paradise Instagram account shared a new video of leading star Sterling K. Brown from behind-the-scenes of Season 2, along with newcomer Shailene Woodley, from the first day of filming. Fogelman shared a photo from his personal social media near the end of March to confirm that Paradise Season 2 had begun principal photography, and now it appears the stars have arrived to begin filming the show. Brown stars alongside X-Men and Sonic veteran James Marsden and Julianne Nicholson in the first season of Paradise, and while it has been confirmed that Nicholson will reprise her role as Sinatra, there has been no word on Marsden’s involvement in Season 2.

Paradise marks the second collaboration between Dan Fogelman and Sterling K. Brown, who previously worked together on This Is Us, the romantic comedy series that ran from 2016-2022. Fogelman is also known for his work as a scribe on the original Cars movie, led by Owen Wilson, and he followed that up shortly after by penning the screenplay for Fred Claus, the Christmas movie starring Vince Vaughn and Paul Giamatti. Fogelman returned to write the script for the Cars sequel that debuted in 2011, which was just one year after he also wrote Tangled. Tangled had been set for a live-action remake, but Disney recently hit the pause button on the film, which came around the same time that Snow White struggled to earn back its budget at the box office.

What Is ‘Paradise’ About?

Paradise follows Agent Xavier Collins (Brown), who is tasked with investigating the murder of President Cal Bradford (Marsden) after he’s found dead in his home. While the show masquerades as a simple political thriller/murder mystery, it’s revealed to be something much darker when the audience learns that around 25,000 people are living under a mountain in Colorado after an Arctic volcano erupted and sent the world into a post-apocalyptic nightmare. Collins assumed his wife died in the chaos as she failed to make it to the sanctity of the underground town, but a twist near the end of the season alluded to the potential of more people being alive on the surface than the citizens of Paradise have been led to believe.

Paradise Season 2 is now in production and expected to premiere in 2026.
