Get your first look at the cast of killers in From the World of John Wick: Ballerina with a new set of character posters. There are old faces and new among the murderers’ row of characters in the long-awaited actioner. The movie will pirouette its way into theaters on June 6, 2025.
Ana de Armas leads the cast of the film as Eve Macarro, a ballerina-slash-assassin from the same organization John Wick (Keanu Reeves) grew up in, as seen in John Wick: Chapter 3 – Parabellum. That organization is led by The Director (Anjelica Huston), who returns for Ballerina. Other familiar faces on the posters include Reeves’ Wick, Continental hotel manager Winston Scott (Ian McShane), and Continental concierge Charon (Lance Reddick); it will be the late Reddick’s last performance. New faces include Gabriel Byrne (The Usual Suspects), Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead), Catalina Sandino Moreno (Maria Full of Grace), David Castañeda (The Umbrella Academy), and Robert Maaser (Mission: Impossible – Rogue Nation). As is expected from a John Wick movie, everybody is dressed to kill, lit in dramatic secondary colors, and armed to the teeth. Will these characters be friend or foe to Eve, as she attempts to dance between bullets and avenge her father’s death? You’ll have to find out for yourself when the film hits theaters this summer.
What Other ‘John Wick’ Projects Are in the Works?
Although John Wick seemingly met his end at the conclusion of 2023’s John Wick: Chapter 4, it turns out you can’t keep a good (or bad) man down. Despite Reeves‘ denials, John Wick 5 is in development, with Reeves set to return as the implacable assassin and Chad Stahelski penciled in to return to the director’s chair. That’s not all: Caine, Donnie Yen‘s blind assassin who helped Wick get his seemingly final vengeance in Chapter 4, has his own spinoff film in development, with Yen also looking to direct. A John Wick anime series, which would be a prequel to the film series, is also in development.
From the World of John Wick: Ballerina was directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld), with Stahelski stepping in for reshoots; the significance of those reshoots is a matter of some debate. It was written by Shay Hatten (Army of the Dead), who also contributed to the scripts for the third and fourth John Wick films.
