‘The Studio’ Renewed for Season 2!!

Matt Remick and the team at Continental Studios are coming back for another round of Hollywood chaos. Apple TV+ has officially renewed The Studio for Season 2, following its buzzy debut earlier this year. The comedy, which stars Seth Rogen and is co-created by Rogen and Evan Goldberg, has quickly become a critical smash — even being hailed as one of the best new comedies of 2025, which is definitely a descriptor we’re on board with.

Rogen, who also writes, directs, and executive produces the series, leads an all-star cast as Matt Remick — the newly crowned head of a flailing movie studio trying to stay relevant in a changing industry. According to Apple, the renewal follows strong global viewership and growing online buzz with each new episode — including the most recent installment, premiering tomorrow on Apple TV+, where Matt desperately tries to get Zoë Kravitz to thank him during her Golden Globes speech.

Rogen and Goldberg direct all ten episodes of Season 1, each with its own stylistic flair. From a noir mystery to a full-length one-shot, The Studio is never afraid to play with format, and it presents a collection of hilarious short films about life inside Hollywood, each of which is utterly absurd in a great way.

In addition to Rogen, the series features a powerhouse ensemble that includes Catherine O’Hara, Kathryn Hahn, Ike Barinholtz, Chase Sui Wonders, and Bryan Cranston. The show also leans into Hollywood satire with regular celebrity cameos — from Rogen‘s Neighbors director Nicholas Stoller to legendary directors like Martin Scorsese playing themselves.

Is Seth Rogen Making ‘The Studio’ Season 2?

We’re thrilled to be making a second season of The Studio,” said Rogen and Goldberg. “We’re looking forward to taking the lived experience of making season one and immediately putting it into Season 2, then repeating that loop for ten more seasons. And, we’re excited to keep all our industry friends and colleagues guessing as to when one of their personal stories will stream on Apple TV+.”

Matt Cherniss, Apple TV+’s head of programming, praised the show’s creative team: “Seth, Evan, the entire creative team and cast of The Studio have knocked it out of the park with this brilliant show. We can’t wait to see where Matt Remick takes Continental Studios in season two, and hope for his sake that the ‘Kool-Aid’ movie crushes at the box office.

The Studio is streaming now on Apple TV+.
