‘Burning Rainbow Farm’: Sebastian Stan, Leo Woodall to Star in New True Crime Thriller!!

Sebastian Stan has been on quite the hot streak lately after earning a Golden Globe win and an Oscar nomination on top of starring in two Marvel features just this year. He’s the definition of booked and busy, and now his schedule just got another project added to its slate. THR reports that Stan has been tapped to star alongside Leo Woodall in Burning Rainbow Farm, which is based on true events that happened in 2001 captured in Dean Kuipers novel. Woodall is known for his role as Jack in The White Lotus Season 2 and also for leading Apple TV+’s new Prime Target series. The film will follow a gay couple who find themselves in a standoff with authorities after they take their youngest son from them. No word on a potential release date or window.

Tommy Murphy is writing the script for Burning Rainbow Farm, and Justin Kurzel has been tapped to direct. Kurzel most recently directed The Order, the true crime thriller starring Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult, and he also helmed all five episodes of Jacob Elordi’s new series, The Narrow Road to the Deep North. Murphy is best known for his work as a scribe on Significant Others, Holding the Man, and also Bloom. Sebastian Stan can currently be seen in theaters in Thunderbolts*, the MCU movie that has captured the love of both critics and audiences and has already produced a respectable haul at the box office. Woodall recently featured alongside Renée Zellweger in Bridget Jones: Mad About the Boy, which grossed over $100 million globally despite not having a theatrical release in the U.S.

Sebastian Stan Will Return to Marvel Next Year

Stan has been around in the MCU since the beginning, and after starring in two projects already this year, he’ll return to the franchise next year for one of its biggest movies yet. Stan is one of the many names attached to star in Avengers: Doomsday, and the Thunderbolts* post-credits scene teased what kind of role he’s going to play in the film. His status in Secret Wars is unclear, as is the rest of the Doomsday cast, but if Robert Downey Jr.’s Doctor Doom is anything like Thanos (Josh Brolin), he’s claiming some blood before he the end of Doomsday.

Burning Rainbow Farm does not have a release date or estimated production start date.
