‘Delphi’: Prime Video Announces New ‘Creed’ Series!!

The Creed franchise is officially stepping into the ring on the small screen. During its Upfront presentation on Monday, Prime Video announced Delphi, a brand-new series set within the Creed universe that will center around the next generation of fighters training at the Delphi Boxing Academy. The gym, made famous in the Creed film trilogy as the training ground of Adonis Creed (Michael B. Jordan), will serve as the main setting for the upcoming drama. While plot details are under wraps, Delphi is going to explore the careers and conflicts of young fighters trying to make names for themselves in the shadow of legends. It’s unconfirmed as yet whether Jordan will appear on screen.

The series will be run by The Defenders and Daredevil alum Marco Ramírez, with Jordan executive producing through his Outlier Society banner alongside Liz Raposo. Irwin Winkler, David Winkler, and Charles Winkler will also executive produce for Winkler Films, continuing their longstanding association with the Rocky and Creed legacy.

No casting has been confirmed yet, but fans of the Creed trilogy might see some familiar faces — particularly Wood Harris, who played Tony “Little Duke” Evers, the no-nonsense coach who took over the Delphi gym after his father trained both Apollo Creed and Rocky Balboa. Given the series’ focus on the gym, Little Duke seems like a natural fit to return, inspiring those next generation fighters who want to become the next Adonis Creed.

What Is ‘Creed’ About?

The Creed film series, launched in 2015 by Ryan Coogler, has seen three installments to date, with the most recent entry, Creed III, released in 2023. Michael B. Jordan has led the franchise as Adonis Creed, the son of boxing icon Apollo Creed (played by Carl Weathers in the original Rocky series). Jordan also directed the third entry. Tessa Thompson, Phylicia Rashad, and Sylvester Stallone have all played significant roles across the trilogy, though it remains unclear whether any of them will appear in Delphi.

Meanwhile, a fourth Creed film is currently in development, with details still under wraps but Jordan set to return as Donnie, as well as behind the camera. Between the next big-screen installment and the launch of Delphi, it’s clear the Creed universe isn’t going down for the count any time soon.

Creed is streaming now on Prime Video, as are its sequels.
