The Hunting Party concluded its final season at the end of April, and NBC has finally decided on the future of the series. The network has ruled that The Hunting Party, which is streaming on Peacock, has been renewed and will receive a second season. The Hunting Party premiered alongside other shows such as original dramas Suits: LA and Grosse Pointe Garden Society, and it was the strongest performer of the bunch, which was enough to earn it another season. The Hunting Party debuted with a shocking 0% from critics on Rotten Tomatoes, and it finished its first season with an 18% but an 81% rating from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes. After receiving only 10 episodes in Season 1, The Hunting Party Season 2 will move to an 18-22-episode season, and it’s expected to be released later this year or early 2026.
Melissa Roxburgh stars in the lead role of Rebecca Henderson in The Hunting Party. Roxburgh is also known for her role as Ensign Syl in Star Trek Beyond, the 2016 Chris Pine-led space sci-fi movie that grossed over $340 million at the global box office. She also starred as Lila Taylor in the eighth and ninth seasons of Supernatural. Featuring alongside Roxburgh with recurring roles in The Hunting Party are Nick Wechsler and Patrick Sabongui. The former is famous for his role as Kenny Rixton in Chicago P.D., and the latter is known for his performance as David Singh in The Flash. Josh McKenzie (La Brea) and Sara Garcia (The Flash) are also featured in every episode of The Hunting Party Season 1, and the show was written and created for television by Jj Bailey.
Who Directed ‘The Hunting Party’?
The Hunting Party consists of 10 episodes, and nine different directors came on board to helm the series. James Bamford, who previously worked in the stunt department on films like Watchmen and Elysium, also directed an episode of The Hunting Party, along with veteran Elsbeth director Rob Hardy. Outer Range icon Blackhorse Lowe was also tapped to helm an episode, as well as Nico Rubio, Shana Stein, Marcus Stokes, Kristin Windell, and Glen Winter.
