Ana de Armas is blazing her own bloody path through the John Wick universe — and Collider has your first exclusive look at just how explosive that journey’s going to be. In a new 4DX poster released ahead of Ballerina’s June 6 theatrical debut, de Armas’ assassin Eve Macarro is locked, loaded, and letting loose with a flamethrower in the snow. It’s exactly the kind of image that screams everything Ballerina is built on: elegance, vengeance, and cinematic chaos turned up to eleven. And if you’re planning to experience the spin-off in 4DX, you’re not just going to see the flames — you’re going to feel them.
As for what Ballerina is? Well, if you didn’t know by now, the film marks a bold new step for the ever-expanding Wick-verse. After four franchise-defining films directed by Chad Stahelski, the torch has been passed to Underworld’s Len Wiseman, with a script by series vet Shay Hatten. But don’t worry, Keanu Reeves is back too — the film is set before the events of John Wick: Chapter 4. He appears alongside Ian McShane, Anjelica Huston, the late Lance Reddick, and The Walking Dead’s Norman Reedus in the action-packed, ultra-violent, globe-trotting revenge thriller.
The story follows Eve (de Armas), a ballerina-turned-assassin trained by the Ruska Roma, the same deadly organization that produced Wick himself. When her family is murdered, Eve sets off on a brutal hunt for vengeance. Think elegant pirouettes and point-blank headshots. The film looks to deliver all the beautifully choreographed carnage Wick fans crave — and then some.
