Despite showrunner Joanna Calo recently declaring the fourth season would debut on June 15, it has now been confirmed via a report from Variety that the critical and audience smash-hit series The Bear will actually debut its fourth season on June 25, ten days later than first suggested. From 5 p.m. PT/8 p.m. ET on June 25, all ten episodes in the upcoming season will debut on Hulu, with Disney+ hosting the series internationally.
A year has passed since The Bear‘s third season became the lowest-rated of the series on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, with many citing issues with pacing and tone as reasons for the drop-off in quality. Still, that won’t stop millions of fans from tuning in and likely binge-watching all ten episodes in one serving upon its debut, with the aforementioned Calo, creator Christopher Storer, and others behind the series hoping to regain the once-spotless reputation the comedy/drama had. The series will once again follow Jeremy Allen White‘s Carmy, working in the newly renovated fine dining establishment, The Bear. He will be joined once again by the likes of Emmy winners Ayo Edebiri and Ebon Moss-Bachrach, Liza Colón-Zayas, Lionel Boyce, Abby Elliott, Mathew Matheson, and others.
‘The Bear’ is Set to Become The Boss Later This Year
Double Emmy-winner White is one of the busiest men in Hollywood today, having recently been confirmed to play a buff Rotta the Hutt (Son of Jabba) in The Mandalorian and Grogu, as well as starring in the returning fourth season of The Bear. Having been snubbed for any Oscars attention for his role as Kerry Von Erich in A24‘s The Iron Claw, many expect that another of his supposed 2025 projects might finally give the actor the Academy attention he deserves. This is in the upcoming biopic Deliver Me From Nowhere, Scott Cooper‘s tale of the life of musical icon Bruce Springsteen, which is also set to star the likes of Jeremy Strong as John Landau, Paul Walter Hauser as Mike Batlan, Odessa Young as Faye, and more.
Although the movie has yet to get a release date, it is fair to say that, especially considering White seems born to play the role visually, he already seems a likely candidate for a spot on the Best Actor ballot at the 2026 Academy Awards. On top of this, the actor has already received the support of The Boss himself, who said in a Sirius XM interview earlier this year that “he sings very well,” and then added, “It’s a tremendous cast of people. They cast the film beautifully, so it’s very exciting.”
The Bear is available to watch now on Hulu ahead of Season 4.
