‘Ballard’: Titus Welliver Shares New Look at the ‘Bosch’ Spin-Off Series!! Check It Out!!

The highly-anticipated Bosch spinoff is one step closer to our tv screens. Titus Welliver, the star of the acclaimed Prime Video book adaptation, has released a new look at the series focused on Ballard (Maggie Q). Plot details remain under wraps for the story that will keep the legacy of Bosch alive. The lead of the spinoff was a crucial character during the conclusion of the third installment of Bosch: Legacy. After proving her worth as a talented detective, Renée Ballard will return to entertain the fans who have followed the adventures of Harry Bosch for many years.

Bosch became a hit for Prime Video more than a decade ago. Before the streaming platform enjoyed the success of The Boys and Invincible, the company worked hard to bring Michael Connelly‘s work from the page to the screen. The original series ran for seven seasons. But even if the television adaptation came to an end, Titus Welliver‘s journey as the unpredictable detective wasn’t over yet. Bosch: Legacy kept the character alive with even more cases for audiences to solve alongside the protagonist. The sequel series ran for three seasons, setting the stage for Renée Ballard to take over the action-packed legacy left behind by Harry Bosch.

Both Bosch and Bosch: Legacy depicted the titular character as a talented investigator who wouldn’t take no for an answer. Welliver‘s character worked as a detective for the Los Angeles Police Department during the original series. While he no longer worked for the force during the events of Bosch: Legacy, his time as a private investigator reminded the world of why the character became so successful even before he appeared on television. Legacy also placed Bosch on the collision course that allowed him to meet Renée Ballard.

What is ‘Ballard’ About?

The first season of Ballard will take elements from the Desert Star book for its main storyline. The recent novel allowed Ballard and Bosch to work together to catch one of the most dangerous killers the investigators have dealt with. Time will tell how faithful the television series will be to Connelly‘s original story, but with Connelly’s involvement in the series, fans are in for a good time. Before being cast as Renée Ballard, Maggie Q was seen in Mission: Impossible III and a couple of movies from The Divergent Series. It’s time for a new investigator to continue what Harry Bosch started for Prime Video.

Ballard premieres on Prime Video on July 9.
