‘Together’: Acclaimed Dave Franco, Alison Brie led Horror Sets July End Release Date!!

Few movie studios are operating at as high a level as Neon right now. The studio had a tremendous in 2019 with Parasite, the Best Picture-winner from director Bong Joon Ho, and just last year, it also soared with the release of Longlegs and Anora. The former stars Nicolas Cage and the latter won the Oscar for Best Picture. Neon is always securing the rights to distribution for films that could easily go on to become cult classics, and the studio has struck gold once again. Neon has officially announced that Together, the horror film starring Dave Franco and Alison Brie, will be released in theaters on July 30. It’s the only horror movie of 2025 thus far to earn a perfect 100% “certified fresh” score from critics on Rotten Tomatoes.

What makes Together’s flawless Rotten Tomatoes score even more impressive is that it comes from 53 reviews. Holding a perfect rating from five or six reviews is hard enough, but 53 is almost unheard of. Michael Shanks makes his feature writing and directorial debut on Together after working on shorts in the past, such as Rebooted, Parked, and Time Trap. Shanks also helmed all six episodes of The Wizard of Aus, the 2016 TV series that he starred in alongside Nicholas Colla. Neon also found success earlier this year with The Life of Chuck, the grandiose sci-fi epic written and directed by Mike Flanagan that’s based on the short story by Stephen King. The film earned strong scores of 81% from critics and 88% from audiences on Rotten Tomatoes, and it stars Tom Hiddleston, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Karen Gillan, Carl Lumbly, and more.

What Have the Stars of ‘Together’ Been in Lately?

Leading stars Dave Franco and Alison Brie are part of what makes Together such a hot horror package heading into the later part of the summer. Franco is best known for starring opposite Seth Rogen and Zac Efron in Neighbors, but he’s also famous for his role as Jack Wilder in the Now You See Me movies. He’ll also star in the third Now You See Me film, coming to theaters on November 14. Brie got her start starring in Community, and she most recently featured opposite John Cena in Freelance. She’s also had voice roles in Star Wars: Visions and Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur.
