‘Just Picture It’: Millie Bobby Brown to Headline ‘The Age of Adaline’ Director’s New Romantic Comedy!!

Stranger Things may be heading into its final season, but Millie Bobby Brown isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The Netflix favorite has just lined up her next starring role, headlining the romantic comedy Just Picture It alongside The Fabelmans breakout Gabriel LaBelle. Directed by The Age of Adaline (a lovely, and quite underrated little movie) filmmaker Lee Toland Krieger, Just Picture It is set up at Netflix, where Brown remains one of the streamer’s most bankable stars.

The high-concept rom-com follows two carefree college students (played by Brown and LaBelle) who are stunned when a glitch on their phones begins showing them images of their future lives — together. There’s just one catch: they haven’t even met yet. The film is written by Jesse Lasky, marking his first feature sale after a career in television that’s included stints on Code Black and Revenge, where he also penned a spin-off novel. Lasky began his career as a monologue writer on The Late Show with David Letterman.

Brown will also produce the film through her PCMA Productions banner alongside Robert Down. Joe Roth and Jeff Kirschenbaum, Netflix regulars behind The Gray Man and The School for Good and Evil, are on board as producers. Jake Bongiovi and Isobel Roberts will executive produce for PCMA, alongside Alyssa Altman of R/K Films and David Kern.

Where Do I Know Millie Bobby Brown and Gabriel LaBelle From?

The announcement comes just ahead of Brown’s return as Eleven in the fifth and final season of Stranger Things, which is set to debut in two parts starting this November. The first trailer for the Netflix sensation was just released earlier today, featuring Brown in a prominent role as usual. Though best known for her role in the hit sci-fi series, Brown has become a reliable face in Netflix’s original feature slate, starring earlier this year in the Russo BrothersThe Electric State opposite Chris Pratt and last year in the fantasy action film Damsel. She is currently filming the third film in her Enola Holmes series in London alongside Henry Cavill.

LaBelle, meanwhile, continues to see his star rise following his acclaimed turn as a young Steven Spielberg in the director’s Oscar-nominated The Fabelmans. Most recently, he portrayed Lorne Michaels in Jason Reitman’s sort-of historical biopic Saturday Night, a behind-the-scenes look at the creation of SNL.
