‘Paradise’ Season 2 Reveals First Images!! Check It Out!!

Paradise Season 2 has been in production for several months now, and after teases from creator Dan Fogelman and stars Sterling K. Brown and Julianne Nicholson, we finally have our first look at the second installment in the upcoming series. Entertainment Weekly has three new images from Paradise Season 2, one of Brown’s Xavier Collins, and two more of newcomers Shailene Woodley and Thomas Doherty. Fogelman had previously alluded to Paradise Season 2 exploring outside the bunker, and these images confirm he was telling the truth. Brown also caught up with EW for an interview to tease where Paradise is heading in its highly-anticipated second season.

Now that Paradise Season 2 is heading outside the bunker, EW asked if there was any chance of merging with another iconic post-apocalyptic franchise like The Last of Us. Brown admits that it “would be a lot of fun,” but that it’s way above his “pay grade.” He also made sure to note just how different the tone is in both worlds. As for where we find Collins in Paradise Season 2, He’s looking for his wife, trying to find her.” He also confirms that Xavier will learn how people survived who “didn’t have the means and the planning that the bunker people did.”

Brown says that Xavier’s goal is “absolutely” getting to Atlanta to see if his wife is still alive. He also affirmed that, just because he’s going out of the bunker, doesn’t mean that’s where the entire season will take place: “Wouldn’t be Paradise without the folks in Paradise. The season is divvied up between Xavier’s exploration of what is outside and what continues to happen inside after the melee that transpired between Sinatra and Jane.”

EW asked Brown about newcomer Shailene Woodley, and while he admittedly couldn’t go into detail about who she’s playing, he confirms, “I made a friend, that’s really the biggest thing… She’s sweet, honest, open, ready to play, and very professional… She’s outstanding.”

Brown also confirmed that James Marsden will be back reprising his role as Cal Bradford in Paradise Season 2. EW asked if the audience was going to see any more of their relationship in Season 2, and he confirmed, “No, we see a little bit more of Marsden. We get a chance to see him in different time periods. So it’s nice. It’s really cool.”

It sounds like Paradise fans have a lot to be excited about heading into Season 2. The show recently picked up four nominations from the Television Academy.

Paradise Season 2 is still in production and expected to premiere sometime next year. Check out the new images above and stream the first season of Paradise on Hulu.
