‘Predator: Killer of Killers’ Extended Version Brings Back Franchise Stars!!

San Diego Comic-Con 2025 delivered a bombshell for fans of the Predator franchise: an extended version of the animated Predator: Killer of Killers epilogue that not only confirms Prey‘s Naru (Amber Midthunder) is still alive… but frozen on Yautja Prime alongside two legendary characters. The final scene now pans across a cryogenic trophy chamber, and among the captives are Naru, Mike Harrigan (Danny Glover), and — in a shocking reveal — Dutch Schaefer (Arnold Schwarzenegger) himself. That’s right. Dutch is back. And this time, it’s canon.

According to director Dan Trachtenberg, the extended ending is now being added back into the Killer of Killers film on Hulu, cementing its place in Predator lore. In fact, Trachtenberg revealed at SDCC that he had breakfast with Schwarzenegger to discuss the cameo before finalizing the sequence. Schwarzenegger’s return marks his first onscreen connection to the franchise since the original Predator hit theaters in 1987. While Glover returned for Predator 2, Arnold never reprised the role of Dutch — despite years of speculation and countless aborted scripts. Now, though, with the Predator franchise officially revitalized under Trachtenberg‘s leadership, we gon’ get a dream match-up here, folks.

What Happened in ‘Killer of Killers’?

Initially released as a stylish animated anthology to tide fans over before the upcoming Predator: Badlands, Killer of Killers quickly earned the highest Rotten Tomatoes score of any Predator film. Trachtenberg used the anthology format to answer fan questions sparked by Prey — what if Predators came during the Viking era? Feudal Japan? World War II?

But the twist was pure sci-fi gold: these weren’t just standalone tales. The surviving warriors from each era were being collected by the Yautja and stored in cryo for future bloodsport. The revelation turned Killer of Killers into a secret sequel and a setup for more — and now we know Dutch was one of them.

Naru’s fate in particular takes a dark turn. Though she triumphed in Prey, the post-credits artwork hinted at more alien ships arriving. Now we know they took her. Her victory made her a target, and she was cryo-frozen alongside the other champions. As Trachtenberg confirmed in an interview with Polygon, that was always the idea:

Certainly Arnold, like many others, was a survivor of his story, and one could easily imagine him up there in cryo, along with any other Earth champion or champion from other planets.

Predator meets Gladiator? We’re sold. Predator: Killer of Killers is on Hulu now.
