‘Outlander: Blood of My Blood’: New Clip Teases the Prequel Series!! Check It Out!!

Outlander: Blood of My Blood takes fans of the Outlander franchise on a new journey with a story before Jamie Fraser and Claire fell in love. Blood of My Blood allows fans to spend time with Brian Fraser (Jamie Roy), William, Jamie, and Jenny’s father. Much like Outlander itself, the show is, at its core, a love story. This time, between Jamie’s parents. Brian’s beloved Ellen MacKenzie is played by Harriet Slater in the new series. The rest of the cast includes Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again star Jeremy Irvine, Ray Donovan star Tony Curran, and more!

Much of what makes Outlander as beloved as it is comes from the fact that this love story spans all of time, and Blood of My Blood is no different! The series will span from World War I to the rugged Highlands of 18th century Scotland and beyond. Who doesn’t love a sprawling romance like that? At San Diego Comic-Con, fans were gifted with a sneak peek of Outlander: Blood of My Blood to help get ready for the new series! Starz pulled out all the stops for fans of the franchise, making sure we had two new exclusive looks at the new series, a live performance, and so much more for Outlander fans.

At the panel, showrunner and executive producer Matthew B. Roberts announced that the series will now premiere on Starz with a two-episode premiere. And fans of the franchise were given a special performance by Raya Yarbrough, who sang “The Skye Boat Song,” famous for being the theme song of Outlander. The panel also included two exclusive clips from the series, including Brian Fraser and Ellen meeting each other in secret, as well as Henry (Irvine) and Julia (Hermione Corfield) driving to the Scottish Highlands together.

A New Way To Enjoy ‘Outlander’

The flagship series is coming to an end with Season 8, but Blood of My Blood gives fans the chance to still be a part of the world without having to say goodbye to the Fraser clan. And that’s part of the joy of a spin-off series like this. It is sad when a show ends, especially when it is something like Outlander itself, which has garnered a devoted fan base throughout the years. Blood of My Blood is growing the world and flushing out the story between these characters, and we can’t wait!

You can see Outlander: Blood of My Blood when it hits Starz on August 8. You can watch the second sneak peek from the series below.
