‘Vought Rising’: Prime Video Shares First Look at ‘The Boys’ Prequel!! Check It Out!!

You may have heard it said that not all heroes wear capes and that’s certainly true in a brand-new rollout from Prime Video’s Vought Rising that teases the getups that await audiences. Ditching the flowing pieces of back fabric behind, these uniforms are clearly inspired by the days of WWII, when it was all hands on deck to cheer on those fighting the Axis powers overseas. Featuring a fresh look for Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy, the images also introduce viewers to new characters played by Mason Dye (Flowers in the Attic), Elizabeth Posey (Euphoria), and Will Hochman (Blue Bloods).

In a caption accompanying this first-look shot, The BoysInstagram post reads:

“Once upon a time, these four were as American as apple pie. Say hello to Jensen Ackles as Soldier Boy, Mason Dye as Bombsight, Elizabeth Posey as Private Angel and Will Hochman as Torpedo in VOUGHT RISING – a new origin story from the world of The Boys – in production this month.”

Ackles’ Soldier Boy has always had a thing for a green uniform. When we last spotted him in action during Season 3 of The Boys, the character had ditched much of his original ensemble and was walking around shaggy, with a five o’clock shadow. Locked in at the top spot of the new lineup, this version of Soldier Boy is well-kept, with slicked-back hair, a fresh shave, and a green leather jacket overtop his eagle-emblazened protective gear. Meanwhile, his comrades are all channeling different sectors of the army, with Dye’s Bombsight rocking a brown jacket and pants nodding to the air force, while Posey’s Private Angel puts a sensual twist on an army uniform. Finally, Hochman’s Torpedo is ready to wipe out any threat in the ocean, as he wears a blue and white suit decorated in honors.

Where Is Stormfront?

There’s one main player missing from the debut image gallery for Vought Rising. As viewers will see, Aya Cash’s Stormfront is nowhere in sight, leaving us wondering why she’s not part of the starting lineup. Considering the character’s extreme Nazi sympathies, there’s a solid chance that she wasn’t very keen on helping the Allies in their fight. But, we know she’ll play a major part in the story about how Vought became the sinister and morally corrupt corporation that we all know it as, so she’s bound to appear sooner or later.
