Taylor Sheridan may be pivoting back to the world of making movies with his upcoming action thriller, F.A.S.T., but an exciting new look at one of his most underrated shows proves he isn’t done with TV yet. Paramount+ has officially premiered the first trailer for Mayor of Kingstown Season 4, showing Jeremy Renner stepping back into the shoes of Mike McClusky following his signature snowplow accident. This trailer comes roughly two months before the show returns to Paramount+ and debuts its first episode on October 26, less than a month after the Season 3 premiere of Tulsa King.
2025 is shaping up to be a big year for Taylor Sheridan, who also had a strong 2024. Sheridan wrapped up the final season of Yellowstone, the project that put him on the map despite taking a few years to break into the spotlight. He also debuted the first season of Landman, which many feel has the potential to take the crown from Yellowstone in the coming years as Sheridan’s most popular project. The second season of Landman will close out the year on Paramount+ for Sheridan — it’s set to be released on November 16.
It also hasn’t been long since a few of Sheridan’s other projects got some exciting updates as they look towards the future. While still lacking an official announcement, all signs point to his hit spy thriller series, Lioness, receiving another season. Sheridan’s mystery Yellowstone sequel series, The Madison, is also in line for another season, which came as a shock considering the first season has yet to premiere a single episode. There are also a few other Yellowstone spin-off shows in the works at Paramount+, but there are rumors that he will be passing off duties as a writer to someone else while he remains involved as a producer.
What Do We Know About Taylor Sheridan’s Next Movie?
Sheridan’s F.A.S.T. has already been set for release on April 23, 2027, and it’s rumored to be a drug crime thriller similar to Sicario. Brandon Sklenar was the first name attached to star in F.A.S.T., and the rest of the ensemble has since been filled out with stars like Sam Claflin, LaKeith Stanfield, and Jason Clarke. Sheridan is writing the script for the film, but he’s handing over directorial duties to his long-time collaborator, Ben Richardson.
