‘The Chair Company’ Renewed for Season 2!!

Tim Robinson fans, your wishes have come true, as HBO have just announced that they have greenlit a second season of the absurdist comedian’s hit comedy series, The Chair Company, alongside renewing Rachel Sennott‘s Gen Z comedy I Love LA. This renewal comes before the final two episodes of The Chair Company have aired on the platform, with November 23 marking the penultimate episode, and the finale airing on November 30.

In Ross Bonaime‘s review of The Chair Company, he awarded the series an impressive 8/10, citing Robinson‘s hilarious lead performance and “a great cast of actors, both known and unknown,” as positives. “The Chair Company is one of the most offbeat and outlandish shows you’ll see this year,” Bonaime wrote in his glowing review, adding, “Robinson and Kanin have yet again found a great playground for Robinson’s antics to run wild, and it’s impressive how they’re able to stretch out this joke for an entire season, and have it remain just as funny throughout.” He concluded, “The Chair Company is a strange adventure, but with Robinson at the helm, it’s one definitely worth going on.”

‘The Chair Company’ is One of HBO Max’s Current Most-Watched Shows

At the time of writing, the show boasts a perfect 100% score from critics on review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, supported by a strong 73% from audiences. It is also the third most-streamed show on HBO Max in the U.S. right now, outperforming a selection of hit reality shows and the aforementioned I Love LA, but falling short of the top spot thanks to Smiling Friends and the horror prequel series, IT: Welcome to Derry. For those yet to watch the show who have the chance to catch up before the finale, a synopsis for the series reads, “After an embarrassing incident at work, William Ronald Trosper finds himself investigating a far-reaching conspiracy.”

The Chair Company has officially been renewed for a second season by HBO.
