‘How to Make a Killing’: First Image Teases the New Glen Powell led Thriller!! Check It Out!!

Glen Powell recently took on the part of action lead in Edgar Wright‘s remake of “The Running Man” and is looking to continue his leading man status in another upcoming genre film with “How To Make A Killing” coming in the new year, which just landed a first-look still with the actor drawing a bow in quite the hero shot.

The new feature project, a co-production between A24 and StudioCanal, is heading to theaters this February and is said to be inspired by director Robert Hamer‘s 1949 British crime movie “Kind Hearts & Coronets.” It hails from writer/director John Patton Ford, who was previously behind the buzzy Aubrey Plaza pic “Emily the Criminal.”

Others among the cast of “How To Make A Killing” are Margaret Qualley (“The Substance”), Jessica Henwick (“The Matrix Resurrections”), Bill Camp (“The Night Of”), Zach Woods (“Silicon Valley”), Topher Grace (“Interstellar”), and Ed Harris (“Top Gun: Maverick”).

A logline for the upcoming pic, thanks to StudioCanal:

Disowned at birth by his obscenely wealthy family, blue-collar Becket Redfellow (Glen Powell) will stop at nothing to reclaim his inheritance, no matter how many relatives stand in his way.

Being an in-demand actor, Powell is busy with other projects on the horizon with wrapping on J.J. Abrams‘ mystery box pic “Ghostwriter” at WB, will team with director Ron Howard on a Texas-set firefighter flick for Amazon MGM Studios (supposedly, won’t be a “Backdraft” project despite early rumblings), has an untitled country music comedy in the works with Judd Apatow/Universal Pictures, Barry Jenkins‘ sci-fi project “The Natural Order,” and is expected to return to role of Hangman for Paramount Pictures‘ gestating “Top Gun 3.”

“How To Make A Killing” is set to arrive in theaters on February 20 as the Powell-led flick goes up against 20th Century Studios‘ latest horror entry, “Psycho Killer,” and Lionsgate’s “I Can Only Imagine 2.”
