‘MobLand’ Season 2 Adds Johnny Flynn & Ophelia Lovibond!!

Paramount+ is making sure we’re given another star-studded slice of London gangster life with the addition of some big names to Guy Ritchie and Ronan Bennett’s MobLand. Deadline is reporting that Johnny Flynn (Beast) and Ophelia Lovibond (Minx) have signed on, and will serve as series regulars in the next chapter.

Season 1 introduced audiences to a London where power exists only on borrowed time. The Harrigans and the Stevensons — two dynasties fueled by blood, greed, and violence — waged war in a way that left bodies, betrayals, and broken loyalties scattered across the city. Caught between the blast zones was Tom Hardy’s Harry Da Souza, the dangerously charismatic fixer whose survival instincts were as sharp as his suit.

That debut season also gave us Pierce Brosnan as Conrad Harrigan, a once-feared mob patriarch clinging to relevance, and Helen Mirren as Maeve, the matriarch far more formidable than anyone gave her credit for. A powerhouse ensemble — including Paddy Considine, Joanne Froggatt, Lara Pulver, Anson Boon, Mandeep Dhillon, Jasmine Jobson, Emmett Scanlan, and Teddie Allen — added fuel to an already combustible world.

Flynn and Lovibond won’t be the only new complications arriving in Season 2 — several fan favorites are also returning to stir the pot. Janet McTeer is back as Kat McAllister, the icy international crime boss who plays the game in leagues beyond London’s borders, while Toby Jones reprises his role as Colin Tattersall, the retired detective who can’t let go of his vendetta against the Harrigans. Alex Fine also returns as Donnie, Kat’s volatile henchman — and a thorn in Harry’s side.

How Successful Is ‘MobLand’?

Paramount+ didn’t hesitate when it came to renewing MobLand. The show exploded out of the gate when it premiered earlier this year, racking up 26 million views in its first 70 days across English-speaking markets, and nine days in international territories — making it the streamer’s second-biggest launch ever, behind Landman.

Since then, it has been a fixture on Nielsen’s Streaming Originals Top 10 for five consecutive weeks, further solidifying its place among Paramount+’s prestige drama arsenal. Between its razor-wire tone, world-class cast, and London’s gritty criminal ecosystem, audiences clearly aren’t ready to leave its world behind — and neither is the streamer.

MobLand is streaming now on Paramount+.
