‘Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man’ Reveals First Image of Rebecca Ferguson!! Check It Out!!

Promotion for the Peaky Blinders movie in the works at Netflix has officially begun. Less than 24 hours after a new image of Cillian Murphy in The Immortal Man was released, Empire Magazine has the first still of Rebecca Ferguson in the film. Ferguson has been tapped for the role of Kaulo in The Immortal Man, which will be released in select theaters on March 6 and on Netflix globally on March 20 next year. Kaulo will be an ally to Murphy’s Thomas Shelby in the film, and the new report from Empire also included a sit-down with Ferguson, where she spoke about the film.

“Basically, I said, ‘I can’t do a fucking Brummie [accent] mate, so what are we going to do about this?” Ferguson said with a laugh. “That ain’t happening. Could she be Swedish?” This was in response to Murphy, who specifically pitched for her to play the role of Kaulo in The Immortal Man. She’s also aware of Peaky Blinders’ massive following the show has developed in the years it’s been on Netflix, and she admits that she’s trying to keep herself removed from all the noise.

“I try and stay away from thinking about all the people who [love it],” she says, “because that’s just going to freak me out. It’s enough to know that once Cillian is on a horse, the paparazzi are taking pictures. You understand how big it is.” Ferguson’s star power is also a contributing factor to the film’s anticipation, along with other stars in the cast like Stephen Graham, Tim Roth, Barry Keoghan, and Sophie Rundle.

A New ‘Peaky Blinders’ Sequel Series Is Coming to Netflix

Back in October, Netflix announced that a new Peaky Blinders sequel series was in the works. Creator Steven Knight, who is also writing and directing The Immortal Man, is back at the helm once again to tell a story for a new generation of Shelbys. This likely rules out cameos from many of the beloved stars from Season 1, though it’s not impossible we’ll see some familiar faces in flashbacks. The series will take place after The Immortal Man, and it’s expected to begin filming sometime next year and likely be released in 2027. Casting information has not yet been announced.
