‘The Pitt’ Season 2 Trailer Teases Holiday Disaster and Workplace Drama!! Check It Out!!

Less than a week after HBO Max released the opening scene from The Pitt Season 2, the streamer is ramping up promotion for the show even further. HBO Max has released a new official trailer for The Pitt Season 2, which will begin streaming on January 8. The new trailer shows off returning stars like Noah Wyle and Katherine LaNasa, who were both awarded Emmys for their powerful performances in Season 1. There are also plenty of newcomers and other returning favorites who are set to be thrown into the chaos of Pittsburgh Trauma Medical Center when The Pitt returns in just a few weeks.

There was a healthy amount of skepticism when HBO announced The Pitt and in the weeks leading up to the series, but as new episodes debuted each week, it continued to win over the hearts of more fans. The show took a different approach to medical drama storytelling — where most series take place over weeks, and sometimes months, the entirety of The Pitt Season 1 takes place over one shift. There is also less romance between the characters than in other medical dramas like Grey’s Anatomy, which allows the show to focus more on the craft of the dedicated medical professionals.

In addition to starring in The Pitt Season 2, Noah Wyle will also direct an episode of the medical procedural. Wyle wrote an episode in Season 1, and he’s expected to write a few more in Season 2. His Season 1 co-star, Shawn Hatosy, will also direct an episode in Season 2 and step into a larger role. The show was written and created for TV by R. Scott Gemmill.

Will Netflix Buying Warner Bros. Affect ‘The Pitt’?

It was announced just a few weeks ago that Netflix emerged as the winning bidder for Warner Bros. Discovery, and while there have been rival bids placed in the days since, it seems the original acquisition is going to go through as planned. This has led fans to question if shows like The Pitt, which will now operate under the Netflix umbrella, will be changed heading into potential future seasons. Many would argue that The Pitt would not have found its footing if it released all episodes at once, which could be how Netflix decides to roll out the show in future seasons.
