Nearly four years after James Reece first stormed onto screens, The Terminal List is finally gearing up for its long-awaited return. Adapted from Jack Carr’s bestselling thriller series, the Prime Video hit was renewed following its explosive debut, but Season 2 has taken longer than expected to materialize. Leading man Chris Pratt’s packed production slate has been partly to blame, stretching the gap between installments far beyond the typical streaming turnaround. Now, after years of anticipation, Carr himself has provided an update confirming that Reece’s next mission is finally closer than ever.
While the wait between seasons has stretched far, the world of The Terminal List hasn’t been entirely quiet. Fans recently revisited James Reece’s shadowy corner of the universe in the prequel spin-off, The Terminal List: Dark Wolf, which focuses on Ben Edwards, played by Taylor Kitsch. A former teammate and BUD/S classmate of Reece, Edwards’ backstory added new layers to the conspiracy saga. The series also received a warmer critical response than its predecessor, helping sustain momentum during the long hiatus. Carr has even hinted that some narrative threads introduced in Dark Wolf could directly feed into Season 2, setting up a more interconnected return for Reece’s next chapter.
Carr took to social media to announce that The Terminal List Season 2 has officially wrapped production, sharing the news alongside a behind-the-scenes video teasing the next chapter. The first-look clip offers flashes of high-stakes action, with Pratt back in full force as James Reece, navigating dense jungle terrain and picking off enemies from a distance. Co-stars Luke Hemsworth and Tom Hopper also appear in the celebratory footage, joined by Carr himself, who was happy to reveal that Season 2 will draw from True Believer, the second installment in his bestselling James Reece series.
When Will ‘The Terminal List’ Season 2 Premiere?
An official premiere date for The Terminal List Season 2 hasn’t been announced just yet, but Carr has hinted that the wait may not stretch much longer. From all indications, new episodes should start dropping this year. Carr revealed additional details in the caption, sharing that the team is “editing the final episode” and described it as “FANTASTIC!” “Can’t wait for this show to hit screens!,” he added. “Everyone involved absolutely crushes! I hope all episodes drop at once so you can binge it like a blockbuster!”
Carr further threw the fans an engaging question, asking, “If episodes drop weekly, will you wait until all eight are out before watching? Did you wait to binge DARK WOLF?” Before proceeding to share his own plan: “In the lead up to the TRUE BELIEVER drop, I’m going to watch DARK WOLF, followed by THE TERMINAL LIST to experience the story chronologically. Let’s go!” A quick peek at the comment section revealed that most fans are keen on adopting the same approach.
